Party wear

We went to a company party. We were supposed to dress "business casual".. so while dad got the entire family all dressed up based on the "business" word, the rest of the folk at the party were focussed on the "casual"!

Dad did move a few eyes when he walked in wearing his tuxedo. It was quite a feat, trying to fit into an outfit after six years. Came home and had stomach cramps. After all, you cannot hold your tummy in pants a full two inches smaller than your current waist size, that too for two full hours. By the time we put on seat belts in the van on our way back, the pant buttons were off!

We did have a great photo shoot though!

My darlings were thrilled to dress up as usual!!

The tux episode has sparked a renewed interest to actually do some physical exercise, eat more salad and less ghee fried jeera rice, buttered up tortillas, etc. and basically fit into that tux without the extra effort by end of this year!

Hmmm... only time will tell!

Black Body Radiation

Still do not understand the Physics behind why a five year old wants to grow up so fast and try on her mom's bra. Now the two year old is doing the same thing, by following her sister!

Everytime we fold laundry, both the kids jump all over the pile of clothes, run away with a few items (usually daddy's or mommy's) and amuse us in oversized clothes or underpants!

It is fun to watch the way they get the clothes all wrong, so we do not stop them..

ps. For some reason the Bra is referred to as "body" in South India.. Found the origin.. The word "Bodice", which was the word used by the British for a corsette, over time in India, became body!

Little one : Daddy, akka kuthi(poke) me in the eyes !

Me (all worried) : show me.. (inspect eye, blow aorund it, give her eye a kiss) and then find nothing wrong.

Me to Jr. : Ennadi, nee edhavadhu Panniniya? (Did you do something? But I was not mad at her because these days we dont just take anyone's word for anything! We give them the benefit of doubt)

Jr.: Nothing!

Me to LO: When did she "kuthi you"?

LO: She kuthi me tomorrow!!

Never trust a minority report, or a minor's report for that matter!

The time space continuum...

The old yahoo photos was long forgotten with Jr.'s first photos safely tucked away somewhere!

Then came the deal to move them all to Flikr.

Realizing that there is now unlimited space for storage, I promptly moved them all. I could have moved them to shutterfly, not that it mattered.

Now came the reminder email. The storage was for a three months only! Now I have to pay 25 bucks to upgrade to Flikr premium. I still have the photos there. Just wont be able to see anything other than the last 200 photos.

What is the point in having unlimited space for a limited time?

They got me on that one, fair and square!!

Now I find that most of my blogger buddies who are Flikr addicts have been paying the premium anyways and they tell me it is worth it.

I may get it for free because we use Yahoo DSL, but have to wait and see..

Now that we are on the topic of paying for storing photos, is Flikr the best? Is there something out there that is better for the same or lower price, or even a few dollars more?

I am getting general feedback that the google photos is not that great (I do like Picassa though), people tell me that smugmug(?) is good, etc..

ps. I am not saying Flikr tricked me or anything. Actually they were emailing me on my yahoo account to notify me that the photos are moved. The first mail in my Flikr inbox does mention this 200 photo/ 3 month thing.. I just opened that email last week. Who knew there was a Flikr email inbox ???
