An experiment in time
Thanks to Lak, found this site which analyses your personality type. Knew what a Jungian personality type was, 15 years ago when I was a graduate student and my type has not changed in the last 15 years. It keeps coming up with ENFJ. Extravert, Intuitive, Feeling, Judging. The type of person who is bound to be a "pedagogue" or teacher/leader.(Idealist portrait of a teacher, is the description by Keirsey.)
Took the test today after a few years and it is still ENFJ. That is good to know! It is always interesting to see how such sites and tests work.
So here is the experiment in time.
Take the archive pages from this blog for various months and see how the type changes !!!

Nov 2008 : ISTP ->The Mechanics -> Independent and problem solving type
Based on this few conclusions:
ISTP probably is closest to ENFJ on the Jungian test?
Before we had the little one, I was a Performer.
When we found out there was going to be a little one on the way, became independent!
After the little one was born the brain stayed ISTP for a long time and somehow over the last couple of years, it has a very seasonal oscillation between an active playful type to an independent problem solving type.
In ohter words, the activity and playfulness over the first few months, creates enough problems for me to solve over the next few months!
This also proves another important thing..
Giving a site like that to a guy like me is like giving a "korangu" a "poo maalai".
(translation, it is like giving a flower garland to a monkey. ie., the garland has no chance of survival at the hands of the monkey).
There, I am teaching everyone not to over analyze!
It has been a long week. Tomorrow promises to be slightly more exciting. Maybe the playful and active person will come out?
