Overnight Wings

Once upon a time, in a land far away,
lived a happy couple, who entered family way!
Before you knew it, they had a kid or two,
Lost sleep, track of time, but were happy to
In time their little ones grew up
Left home for far away lands
To study, work, and even hold hands!
And it was their turn to enter the circle
of big tummies, gurgles and school
The all too familiar routines
that were tiresome yet cool!

the circle of life.... :-)
Vikram, welcome to this blog.
read your blog, enjoyed your writing..
I usually keep poems, limmericks and rhymes to myself..
after some profound advice from a female grad school colleague.. apparently there is a Russian saying "bad love breeds poems. good love breeds babies"!!
I stopped with the poem stuff that day! now that I have two kids and no issues with breeding, thought I would openly express some rhyme!
:)
Thats some awesome poem ! And i quite like the comment.."Bad love breeds poems and good love breeds" !
Ryhme (f)or reason !?!
our lives in a nutshell...
Good poem Sundar.
Waiting for more snaps of Jr. and Baby! :)
Thts a good poem!!! Though i doubt ur better half appreciates the tummies part :)
anu, the tummy part was a reference to my wife's belly expanding and contracting after every pregnancy and delivery!
she liked that part for sure..
