Hahaha... I remember telling my friends negizh- amudhu, satha-mudhu, kara-mudhu and so on.. cant remember the rest.. thiru-puzhu-amudhu is awesome!! :)
Sundarji,
I enjoyed this as well. So nice of you to share this conversation between you and your brother. LOL....You are humourous too!
M, it is really apt, isn't it?
SR, I am an Iyerangar..
actually we are Iyers, but have a heavy perumaal influence because our kula deivam is Gunaseelam Perumaal and both sides of the family have a very vaishnavaite bias.. Ramamurthy, ShanthaLakshmi, Narayanan, Sundararaman, Padmanabhan, Venkataraman, .... cannot count a single Siva or Muruga or Pillayar name in the immediate family..so guess that settles your question?

For a moment, I thought your brother was talking of the rice(with worms) available in bay area stores these days. But then, your brother is in India, right?
