Moving ................. again .....
Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 3:29PM Moving twice within 7 weeks. First we moved from our big house to a little apartment. Now we are finally moving from the little apartment to our new big house !!
I have lost count of the number of times I have been cursed, blamed, accused over the last seven weeks of making a bad move.
Finally managed to make everyone happy. Needless to say, we have spent everything we ever earned so far, everything we will earn over the next thirty years and anything else we have on this gamble of moving to Cupertino.
But the house is sure to make us happy, especially the big back yard. We cross all the Apple computer buildings on our way to the house. It is a quiet neighborhood and we are looking towards a very positive experience..
Here's to Appletown !!

narayanan sir, there are more than a million things that went into the calculation for the move. too complicated to explain in blogland. will tell you when I meet you. to simplify :
growing kids + school district + interest expiring on loan + no more Alan Greenspan + real estate market + 8 adults and two kids under one roof for two months = selling in sunnyvale and buying in cupertino.
Triple-s , apartment move was not something I really wanted to publicize.. also there was a chance that we would have to move out of apartment just 3 weeks after we had move in. calling 45 different locations to give official change of address is harrowing enough. so we want to inform all of you of the final address !! which i will by email.
I agree with the schools. Has a big impact! I am experiencing it here ! I wish I were in Cupertino/Albany.

My gawd what a backyard. love it.. Can imagine football, running, camping and even a mini pool set up.., and gardening..
and yes a lot of raking leaves..

Narayanan Sir, it is important.. but school districts are subject to change in ratings.. especially high schools in US. i am told by older friends that depending on % of kids getting pregnant in high school the ratings keep changing..
