When you make a toy laptop

Make it real !

Yesterday the little one was playing with her laptop.

She was hitting the keyboard furiously, much like a chimp hits something with flat palm when it is angry.

Jr.: why are you hitting that laptop ?
LO : It has a virus akka !

we were rolling on the floor laughing..

3 year old kid exorcising a toy laptop from a virus...

only in the bay area!

Growing up to be a..

We are driving along on 80E towards Sacramento and we see signs for UC Davis.

Daddy tells San and Jr. that the college has a great medical college and San turns and asks the kids

San : Do you want to be a doctor?
Jr. : Shakes her head and says No
LO : I don't want to be a doccccctorrrrr

the conversation continues..

San : So what do you want to become?
LO : (all excited) I want to be a MONSTER, when I grow up!
San : That you already are. Tell me what else you want to be?
LO : I want to be a snake
Jr. : you can't be a snake. You have to be born as a baby snake to be a snake. You are already a kid. you can only grow up to be a big girl!
San : (to Jr.) what do you want to be?
Jr. : I know, but I cannot tell you. It is a secret!
San : !!!!!

The good news is that there is a lot of time before anything has to be decided.

The budding Doctor

Jr. accompanied me to the Doctor's office on Wednesday. Was feeling miserable with cold, sore throat, loose stomach and was facing near system shutdown. So took off work in the afternoon and went staight to the doctor, with Jr. in tow because she also had similar symptoms.

The doc. wrote down a page full of notes after asking me questions and then gave me mostly Over The Counter medicines and lots of advice.

Jr. came away much impressed with the doctor's note taking skills and she played doctor at home with her sister.

Today we happened to see her notes and were rolling on the floor laughing, so we decided to share the budding doctor's notes with all of you.

Jr.'s spelling is improving significantly, although she still spells some words as she hears them. Cannot blame her if she spells "Docter" because that is how most Desi's pronunce it!

For clarification (based on Jr.'s input)

Had flews = Had Flu
she / he feiles happy = he / she feels happy
We have no idea what Clifford the big red dog or Emily Elizabeth are doing in that notes!
Bathroom a lot! (you got that right!)
diriya = diarrhoea
elbo peain = elbow pain

we have no clue what the rest of the stuff is.. especially the "answer me please" part.. must be part of the doctor asking me to be a little more responsible!

The final part about the present, we understand. Irrespective of who is sick, the kids get a lollipop and sticker. They don't like the lollipop and throw it after one lick. Still they get it! This is as bad as people who don't like Panjamrudham wasting it outside the Pazhani temple..

We are all feeling better now after taking the skunk medicine!

Silly boy!

Yes. That would be me.

Apparently boys are silly and yucky.

Jr. does it more naturally. The little one imitates her sister and says "silllly boy!" and looks a little over mature for her age when she giggles and says that.

All said and done, the darling daddy is now suddenly a silly boy.

Happy with the boy part.

Laughing at the silly part.

Who knew that I would be growing younger as the girls grow older?

Spell it out

Jr. has figured out a way to avoid the following sequence of events

1. Jr. wants to have something
2. The little one wants the same thing
3. Little one is not allowed to have that
4. so no one gets anything!

Now Jr. spells it out!

Mommy can I H A V E a C A N D Y ?

The little one has figured out by now that Jr. wants something or is asking for something from the "can I" part..

Today after Jr. asked for CANDY, the little one goes

Mommy can I have a X O C K P B C thing?

We were rolling on the floor laughing!
