Birds and the bees...

A misleading title for this post!

This is a photoblog of the animals, birds, flowers from the recent Route 1 trip...

It was interesting to say the least...

Seagulls white, brown, Pelicans, Pelicans, more Pelicans, seals, sealions, bunch of cactus (have never seen these before)...

There were some other birds by the sea. Crmorants, falcons, slender legged birds with long curved beaks, too fast or too far to capture on camera!

I never knew there was this much to see. Realized that having your eyes open and seeing are two different things!

Mini Thaali - A photoblog

After some serious questions and requests by this blog readers for photos of the Mini Thaali...

Here is a picture of all the Thaalis mentioned in the previous post!

Now, for the details. The outermost one in the photograph, is the Madrasi version.
The middle one is the Bombay version with the "karugamani" or black beads.

An interesting thing to note: The Bombay version is the same length and weight as the Madras Thaali!

In the heart of the picture, is the Mini Thaali. The irony of the mini thaali is that even though it is "mini" and cute, it was still not being worn.. it had to be searched and found so it could get the photo op!

That said, ladies.. it is easier to find a dude to marry, who doesn't give a rodents behind* for the Thaali, than it is to find the mini thaali. It is not like you are going to wear it anyways!

Toying with daddy

The little ones were troubling me, over drinking milk and going to bed.

Gave me a chance to take some photographs. They were posing funny as well.

Got some nice shots though..

I got some funny ones, but they are all out of focus. The hunt for the nice digital rebel lens continues. For some strange reason, the prices are going up!! Have to wait for the Christmas sale I guess.
